Colour an outline image or sentiment, add rhinestones or ribbon and then deboss Using the negative side of an embossing folder) I picked my stamp set straight away, JOFY Merry & bright and stamped the images in Staz-On ink onto a tall & skinny crumb cake cardstock base. All going well so far....until I squeezed too hard on the watercolour paint brush and really messed it up! A flood of watery paint. About to throw it away and start again I decided to be positive .....it would be a happy accident instead so I washed the paint over the entire image and coloured in the stars with gold glittery Wink of Stella pen. Spritz with a marker pen. Mat onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock....oh dear, what about the debossing! Quick, think, so I kind of got round that part of the challenge by scoring lines around the edge! Popped on a button, gold elastic thread and rhinestones. I actually quite like the end result......for a disaster!

ReplyDeletePat, I sure wish my crafting disasters ended up looking this fabulous! I really like the watercolor wash over those whimsical images. The spritzing is a fun way to tie the colors together. Great save on the debossing, too! I'm glad the card all worked out for you and that you shared it with us at 52{C}CT! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a stunning disaster! Great save, Pat! Thanks for joining our May Recipe challenge.
