Wedding Cards

A couple of ladies from one of my groups wanted to make wedding cards this week so I designed these for them. Difficult to make as a wedding card is rather personal . I knew that one of them likes shabby chic and the other lady, who is 87 years old prefers something less flamboyant!

So here are my cards, Luckily they loved the designs and making them for themselves too, so I was very relieved!

52CCT - March Stash Challenge

I'm proud to say that I was awarded joint Top Honor last week for the CCT card colour challenge with my cute penguin card!

So onto this weeks challenge! A stash Challenge...use paper flowers on your Christmas card. Must have a 3D effect! So an idea popped straight into my head....white embossing on vellum, then an ink resist.

Here's my card. Simple but pretty, remind me of pergamano! The cardstock is shimmery white but you cant really see that from the photo. Shame. Stamp set is Mixed Bunch from Stampin Up. Stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder then sponged Marina Mist ink, punched out and layered three together to look like a giant snowflake. I love the fact that a flower stamp set can be used for Christmas! Stamped a few little snowflakes, a crystal button and silver thread finish it off.

So you can see the layers!

kaisercraft - Bundle of Joy

A page for this months scrapbook club using papers from the Bundle of Joy collection by Kaisercraft which include aqua and pink colour schemes. Difficult to find decent baby pictures from days gone by before I had a decent camera and had even heard of scrapbooking! So when I did find some the colours were all wrong so a monochrome conversion would have been best! Oh well!

I've yet to do the journalling for this page but its my son, a day or so old having his first bath when we took him home. He was crying in the other photos!

I've gutted the middle of the paper, to make a frame. It just lends itself to that. Then backed with different paper. Added the silk flowers, brads, buttons, crochet trim etc and a few pearls and silver stickles. A boy can have bling!

And heres a page of my daughter. Another terrible photo! As above, I gutted the page to make a frame and used the paper to make the die cut flowers. Ribbon, clay embellies and stickles etc added

I've been spotted...

and placed under surveillance on CSI for this page

Quite pleased about that as there are so many fantastic layouts on CSI!

52CCT March Theme - Stars

Its a beautiful sunny day in London and I've spent the morning on my allotment cutting grass, clearing up winter debris and socialising. Christmas was the last thing on my mind! Have got back home and decided to check in earlier this week to see what this weeks challenge on 52CCT is....create a Christmas card with "Stars". I even got my sewing machine out for this one!

I've die cut the stars out of patterned paper, inked edges and layered together. The background cardstock has been stamped with Stampin Up's Hardwood stamp. Then used my sewing machine on the book paper and patterned paper. Colours are Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler. Thanks for looking!

52 Christmas Card Throwdown

We are now into March and I'm so pleased that I've made a handful of Christmas cards already this year! Im also happy that I've had another Honarable mention for my landscape card.!

So, onto this weeks challenge. A sketch.

I fancies twisting the sketch and not make the obvious so here's what I made this morning. The poinsiettea flower I cut on my cameo. The background stamp is "Dictionary" by Stampin Up. Some glimmer spray adds a bit of sparkle!
