I've decided to start blogging again....have everything in the one place! Comments always welcome and thanks for looking!

Its been a while since I've posted on my crafty blog but the covid pandemic has meant I've not been able to hold my regular scrapbooking and card making sessions with my ladies. I do miss the social side of being with them, a good chat, a place to offload sometimes but always lots of laughter. Lets hope we get to back to "normal" after we've had our vaccines.

But during the pandemic I have still been scrapbooking!

Here's a few pages

This is a page from a zoom session we did. Patterned paper cut into squares and then corner to corner to create triangles. They are "scuffed" along the edges and then completely cover the entire background cardstock. I am a member of Kew gardens and love the perennial flower border. I always take my camera to Kew as the border is filled with insects too.

A re-do of an old layout which I was never really happy about. Doilies and lace at the top and bottom with strips of patterned paper in between. I cant ice skate at all, I'm a side-clinger!

Another re-do of an old layout. This was a lovely day on the south coast, stretches of sand with hardly anyone on the beach.

A page from New Years Eve. No parties or meeting friends so a comfy night by the fire with a glass of homemade, homegrown cherry plum liqueur. Lovely!  Stamped and painted background, no paper but a whole load of golden stars and fine gold thread

Two more re-do pages. First is paper strips laid out to represent a Christmas tree.

Another page....

A lazy Sunday afternoon and the weathers horrid. Feeling crafty so I scrapped some photos taken on a photography trip in Dorset last October. Excuse the picture quality but was taken with a mobile

CASEing for Christmas

The card this week we are CASEing for Christmas is one of Mynns! Come on over to join in and see the other ladies fabulous cards!

I loved Mynns rich red, black and kraft colour scheme so I decided to use the same colour combination for my simple card. A kraft base card, a simple square panel with a stamped poinsettia (Clearly Besotted stamps). A few sequins and gold stickles to add some sparkle. I was going to add a teeny weeny tag but decided not to. Keep it simple!

I hope you join in with our challenge....be ahead this Christmas!

CASEing for Christmas

This week the card to case was made by Donna. Gorgeous card!Check out the challenge blog here.

I decided to make my card using NO stamps and to keep it clean using the same kind of colour scheme.Gold printed vellum behind the circular window, a gold bow and sequins and the sentiment is a rub on.

Scrapbook Pages

Two pages from two kits for Aprils scrapbook club.

First we have Kaisercrafts "Mix & Match" collection. A mix of red, white and kraft papers, sticker alpha sheet and a pack of tags. I've added some red sequins and some ribbon

Second page is again Kaisercraft but the collection is called "Something Blue" and although "weddingy" is not so much so that the papers cant be used for anything! So don't think it can only suit wedding photos although I have used a photo of my In-Laws wedding.

The colours are black, white, a pale mint green, kraft and a beige. I've made the rosette flowers from the patterned paperm used a few of my own plus added some ribbon.
