52CCT Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Many thanks to the girls at 52CCT for giving me an honorable mention for this card here:-

Now onto the fun blog hop for the month of July over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown with some prizes to be had too! Go take a look......

Now there are not one but four cards to make! I decided to make my four card all at once, using the same base colour cardstock of Lucky Limeade from Stampin Up.

First up the recipe challenge:-

Using ink is your friend to give a card a vintage feel.....and vintage buttons!

 Second is the sketch challenge:-

A Technique Tuesday stamp set - Be Jolly

Third we have a use stickers challenge:-
I loathe stickers. It just seems a cop out to slap a sticker and hey presto, job done. Anyway, a very simple card using a set of stickers retrieved from my box of stash destined for the charity shop!

My fourth card using the recipe challenge:-

I do like the pinks in this card. Four shades in total but hopefully 52CCT wont notice that I have forgotten to use grey! That comes from doing all four card in the one session! Oops!

  3. You have a lovely assortment of cards here, Pat! The die-cut poinsettias on the first card are gorgeous, and they coordinate really well with the designer paper you used for the background. The little bow is a perky finishing touch to your tree card for the sketch challenge. The cute reindeer sticker served well for the stash challenge card (and I will admit I very much agree with your thoughts about using stickers). I like how you've used the non-Christmasy background paper and doily for your color challenge card. I'm glad you've participated in our July challenges at 52{C}CT!

  4. I'm so tickled that you made a card for each of the challenges this month Pat!! I'm still giggling about your comment on stickers. Once upon a time I bought lots of them before I was very good at stamping. I wondered if others still had a stash to use up too :o) Love, love, love each and every one of your fabulous cards. Thanks so much for joining us at 52CCT for Christmas in July. Hugs D

  7. All four are wonderful cards Pat, very well done on making one card for each of our challenges! Fabulous colours, textures and accent details! You only had to use at least 3 of the colours from the colour challenge prompt graphic so it's perfectly fine that you omitted the grey! : )

I know what you mean about the "cop out" aspect of stickers - I tend to agree - but they can come in handy if you need a very speedy card!

Always a pleasure to see your wonderful work Pat, thanks so much for joining us at 52 {C}CT for our blog hop! Ruth x

  9. Wow, you are one talented crafter! Love how all your colours tie in and all your cards are very different in style. Can't pick a favourite but I do like your vintage card, which is not normally my first choice of style, there's just something about this card which I love. Hope you enjoyed the blog hop and I look forward to visiting your blog again soon
